- Multiple applied
How we got this number
Indicative estimate using the multiples method and industry reference ranges. It does not account for hidden liabilities, working capital or business specifics. A full valuation uses more than one method and states the valuation date.
The math, in four steps
- 01
Industry range
The starting point: what companies in your industry usually trade for, in times EBITDA.
- 02
Risk adjustments
Owner dependence, customer concentration, growth and recurring revenue move the multiple.
- 03
× EBITDA
The adjusted multiple times operating profit gives enterprise value (EV).
- 04
− Net debt
Subtracting debt and adding cash gives the equity value.
Multiple applied×EBITDA−Net debt=Equity value

Still have questions? Talk to a specialistIs a business valuation calculator reliable?
It gives a reference range using the method most used for small and mid-sized companies. It shows the order of magnitude and what weighs most on value; it does not replace a valuation with a review of the numbers and more than one method.
Why does the calculator ask for EBITDA and not revenue?
Because buyers pay for the profit a company generates. Revenue is only used to check that the margin entered makes sense.
Is my data saved?
No. The calculation runs in your browser. Nothing is sent unless you click to talk to a specialist.
